As the User Experience Manager for Europe, you’ll wield your influence, vision, and communication skills to lead a team of Global Experience & Design (GED) individual contributors to deliver outstanding user experiences. We function in a matrix organizational structure, where we match strengths of people and positions. The UE Manager is a senior position within the organization and although you won’t be directly managing people, you’ll be using your talent and leadership skills to deliver great results. Job Requirements Responsibilities Accountable for the overall quality of user experiences for PayPal’s European business unit, being the domain expert for the projects they support.User experience point of contact (face of GED) to business units. Oversee user experience and design solutions via a cross-functional team of designers, writers, and other functions. Estimate project hours for all user experience functions. Work with GED People Managers in a matrix organizational structure, where the People Managers directly manage designers, writers, and other functions. Ensure areas like user research, standards and web analytics are incorporated into design planning. When appropriate, create design concepts or review content. Travel within Europe and to US. Provide individual contributor performance feedback to People Managers. Provide weekly status reports. |
