IT Operations is currently looking for a Test Process & Test Manager to join the team in London The position reports into the Head of Testing Services and is responsible for managing the Centralized Testing Team’s Test Process, Project Testing and Automation & Performance Testing Team, as needed.
THE ROLE INVOLVES: Customer Care: • Actively promote the Testing Services • Identifying key candidate projects to use the test services • Supply KPI’s and Metrics back to the business, providers, and other groups. • Regional Lead for Testing Team
Test Process Management • Ensure the delivery of new products or services from the projects is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the plans. • Be responsible for the quality assurance and overall integrity of the group. • Manage third party contributions to the testing as appropriate. • Communicate with all stakeholders. • Report progress of the maturity levels at regular intervals to the Head of Testing • Familiar with industry standards and certification and drive efforts to bring products into conformance with such standards. • Completion of project performance reviews / audits • Evaluates, maintains and improves Testing roles and responsibilities within the product development life-cycle. • Responsible for functional duties assigned by the Head of Testing. • Facilitates the development, implementation and adherence of testing department standards in partnership with the test team leadership group. • Evaluates and implements training and development needs for team. • Creation of White Papers on given testing / QA subjects • Attendance of Pre-Sales meetings
Quality & Process Management • Monitoring compliance with standard processes (transition points, KPI's) • Quality Audits • Process Management and Training • Process Improvement • KPI Management • Provides project oversight to ensure compliance with Testing • Standards, processes and methods • Ensures that the Test Managers are aware of and has access to relevant testing policies, processes and procedures • Provides input into the continual improvements programme of works • Cross Border Compliance Management and MPP Compliance • Vendor Management & reviews
Line Management • Human resource management activities like: - Staffing - Input into job groups and roles • Performance management – Contractors and Consultants • Lead and Manage Tools & Automation Team (Offshore)

- Career Tester with passion for Testing and innovative thinking towards Testing. - Should be technically savvy and should strive to find answers to any question related to Testing. - Strong QA methodology, in-depth understanding of QA process, SDLC process, testing tools (defect tracking, requirements gathering, automation, performance, etc.), as well as technical leadership skills - 10+ years experience in Testing domain and proven history of implementing testing process/methodology. Minimum 5 years involvement in the financial services industry with exposure to Financial Accounting domain. - 7+ years experience in Process Management and Quality Management. Supporting the testing efforts of large scale projects/programme and technical teams of complex hardware and software based products. Specific knowledge of Quality Management approaches, and Testing Tools (QualityCenter, QTP) and Practices - 6+ years experience in hands on Manual Testing covering System (Functional, Regression), System Integration ( End To End, etc) and Data Quality Testing for Data warehousing Projects. Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing. - 5+ years experience in Data warehousing Testing projects, with Data Warehouse Tools or software like OBIEE, Essbase, Oracle Analytics, etc - 5+ years experience working in a global team and in an Onshore/Offshore model. Strong experience in managing remote contractor or vendor team. - 4+ years experience in Automation and Performance Testing Initiatives/project. - Ability to engage and influence IT management and ability to work in a strong/weak matrix organization. - Ability to balance control responsibilities with the need to deliver pragmatically - Good in verbal and written communication, with formal and practical approach in dealing with people and resources. Good presentation skills. - Extremely strong capacity to drive change and excel in a fast-paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem solving skills are required for success - Proven experience of metrics development, reporting and root cause analysis/recommendations. - Self starter and should be in a position to take the Testing initiatives forward independently with limited support/direction. - Certification in Testing like CMST, CSTP, CMSQ. Project Management certification like PMP, Prince 2. ISTQB Practitioner Level certification. |
