Candidate Summary: The current Audit team of twenty four professionals includes seven Technology audit specialists and seventeen business auditors plus the European Head of Internal Audit.
Role/Principal Accountabilities To conduct technology audit infrastructure reviews of Nomura International plc (“NI”) and all other Nomura entities in Europe and to conduct key IT project or IT related advisory reviews.
• Execute technology global and regional IT infrastructure audit projects from initiation to completion
• Execute audits in accordance with departmental standards
• Raise issues and draft and obtain agreement for associated management action plans from auditees
• Deliver assignments on time and to quality
• Assist non technical audit colleagues in understanding technology risk and controls
• Maintain and develop good working relationships with Technology line management
• Continually seek to improve the Technology audit processes and departmental systems |

• Experienced in technology infrastructure auditing, or
• Experienced in working within core IT discipline, e.g., information security, networking
• Able to demonstrate significant technical knowledge in multiple areas.
• Good understanding of technology risk and controls
• Understanding of ITIL and/or Cobit
• Demonstrates good understanding of Unix, Windows, Databases (Sybase and Oracle), Web Servers and Network Infrastructures
• Demonstrates ability to influence and persuade auditees regarding control issues
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good analytical and decision making skills
• Self starter, team player
• Able to multi task and work to tight deadlines
• Ideal candidates will also have some prior exposure to Investment Banking and an understanding of typical network and system architectures within this environment. |
