Technical Support Engineer

The role:
A vital member of our Tablets Formulation Engineering Team, you’ll provide high quality, responsive technical support and solutions across a wide range of key functions, which will ultimately enhance manufacturing solutions. Consistently working to best practice, you’ll know how to effectively apply your technical skills, tools knowledge and a thorough understanding of all relevant processes. This will enable you to overcome often complex technical issues and meet the stringent demands of our Tablets Formulation Engineering Strategy, Asset Care Plan and Engineering Scorecard – and deliver results accordingly. In addition, you must be able to provide technical training and guidance where required, contribute to equipment evaluation, improvement and compliance and make sure that the use of resources is optimised.

Educated to degree/HND/HNC level in a relevant engineering subject, you’ll have a good understanding of the vital role engineering plays in the manufacturing process. This will be complemented with real experience of the principles and concepts of plant engineering, together with a proven track record of delivering maintenance and technical support in a similar environment. Able to demonstrate good HSE/GMP/other knowledge, you’ll be up-to-date with HASAWA and current engineering legislation, engineering procedures/standards and know how to make a positive contribution in a ‘lean’ production process. What’s more, you’ll be a good team player and a natural problem solver with a strong customer focus.
