Team Leader
We are looking for someone to support the budget and cost preparation and monitoring.

Objective & Mandate
Assist in the management of the overall trading businesses by providing oversight, review & analysis and control to Trading Management. Seek to be a sounding board for new ideas & initiatives and an extra set of eyes & ears while on the floor.

Below is an overview of the main functions undertaken within the business management team. The team is being restructured to be more product aligned so the key skills required in this role are rates product experience. This could cover any of the following :
- Linear rates
- IR Options
- Structured Rates eg mortgages or inflation
In addition experience of managing internal IT projects to drive change is essential along with PC skills covering excel, powerpoint etc.

Job Description
1. Business Analysis
- regular review of volumes, trends etc within the business line
- regular report of above to head of business
- monthly business review meeting - this should cover not only business trends, issues etc but also IT, Operations, budgets & costs etc.
- think about the impacts of the market environment on our business and suggest ideas for change because of this.
- indicate areas of our business that are not functioning well & suggest changes
- participate in business line management meetings & committees
2. Budgets
- help in preparation of the annual budget
- help in the budget presentation
- monitoring against the agreed budget going forward
3. Costs
- help in preparation of the annual budget
- monitoring against the agreed budget going forward
4. Operations & Middle Office
- help in preparation of the annual budget
- point of contact for Trading issues but should not be a bottleneck
- regular meeting to review volumes, trends & issues and followup with business
- monitor operations costs
5. IT
- help in preparation of the annual budget and strategy
- participate in all IT Steering meetings
- facilitate the priority setting and arbitration
- point of contact for Trading issues but should not be a bottleneck
- ensure that the overall IT objectives of FI are being achieved ie. IT convergence across business lines where this is possible & practical
6. Procedures & Controls
- point of contact for Permanent Control team
- work with PC team to define the key risks in each business line
- Given the key risks ensure we have adequate procedures & controls in place to negate the risk
- Ensure Audit & Inspection points are followed up and closed in a timely fashion
7. Market Initiatives
- participate where necessary in market initiatives such as MarkitWire, Isda meetings etc
8. General
- contact point for Tax, Compliance , Legal etc for questions / issues they may have regarding the business.
- actively participate in the hiring process for interns & graduates
Qualifications: Bachelors
Experience: 10 years +
Languages: English : Speak / Write Fluently
