IT Specialists in this job role will have expertise in one or more WebSphere brand -based software product areas. Typical examples of the deliverables are building proof-of-concept solutions with WebSphere Commerce software technology across multiple operating system environments to address client requirements. IT Specialists are expected to perform technical sales activities as a trusted advisor to customers and IBM sales specialists, exhibiting excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidates ideally have applied techniques to carry out operational design, installation and administration of WebSphere Commerce. They should be familiar with the Java and JEE programming models and related development tools. Other desirable skills include knowledge of the competitive marketplace and market trends. Candidates should have a good understanding of B2C Retail, B2B Direct, B2B Supply Chain, B2B Demand Chain, e-Procurement, Telco. Whilst strong technical skills in WebSphere Commerce is preferable, a demonstration of strong skills in another top-tier e-Commerce platform are acceptable. Knowledge of J2EE development is beneficial. |
