Amazon Merchant Services team is looking for passionate, talented and inventive engineer who blends a good experience of software development, analytical skills and business judgment.
Role & Responsibilities You will be responsible to build a fully automated price engine which analyses merchant prices on an ongoing basis. You will be responsible to design the engine based on business requirements, build prototypes, explore alternative technologies, implement a beta engine, plan and conduct testing and report results. The engine will be designed to operate on all of our marketplaces; however initially it will only be implemented for the US marketplace which means that you will work closely with US based business and technology teams.

Successful candidates will have 2+ years of industry experience with a bachelor’s degree in CS/Math/Economics or equivalent. Hands-on programming experience in C++/Java and a deep understanding of object oriented design. Deep understanding of distributed systems and multi-threaded programming. Experience in data modeling and user interface design and development. Desired but not required: Experience in web service development and building business reporting tools. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
