Software Developer
Tivoli Network Management are currently searching for an experienced C and Java Software Engineer to take on a permanent position within the development team.

You will be part of a talented team who are working on exciting products, designed to move into new markets, whilst consolidating the position in existing markets.
Level 3 duties include assessment of support issues, debugging and bug fixing in C,C++ and Java, development testing and clear concise reporting as well as direct interaction with both customers and Level 2 staff.
Core development duties will include analysis of requirements, planning and scheduling, software design, software coding, test planning, code reviews and documentation. You will be adaptable, have a desire to assist other Software Engineers across the teams and have high standards with regard to software quality
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role. Some travel may be required.
Additional information
Strong experience in the following desired
C & Java development within both UNIX and Windows environments
Significant software development experience is required with a proven track record ideally with Network Management and Communications software with strong knowledge of Network protocols and technologies, particularly TCP/IP, SNMP, CORBA, Web Services, Mtosi.
Experience of writing both Detailed Designs and High Level Designs.
Experience of using the following development tools: ClearCase, ClearQuest, Purify, gdb. Experience with integrating software products using third party APIs.
