We are looking for an experienced all-around Engineer who can write enterprise level code in both PHP/Java and has a solid understanding of SQL and can provide architectural input to Answers.

1.Strong experience of PHP and all phases of software development methodology
2.Considerable experience commercial experience of web-based applications, preferably in a Unix environment
3.Good commercial experience in Java
4.A deep understanding of Object Oriented programming principals
5.Intuitive understanding of computer and network architecture and operation, software performance trade-offs, and algorithm design
6.Experience in UML and technical specifications
7.Be comfortable using source for complex branching and merging
8.Experience of XML based technologies and Web Services
9.Working knowledge of Servlets in Tomcat
10.Comfortable with JDBC, Synchronising with threads, serialisation, reflection
11.Experience with JUnit, Javadocs, java build systems and load testing java systems
Desirable
1.Experience in Perl or another scripting language in a unix-based environment
2.Good understanding of database design and PL/SQL
3.Experience with and strong interest in distributed systems, fault-tolerant computing, databases, search engines
4.Experience in unit testing, including PHPUnit
5.Experience with Apache
6.Experience of Agile software development methods
7.Development experience in the mobile space |
