The Senior Product Rollout Manager aims to ensure the readiness of Business User Primary Support teams to support all new product releases. The program also aims to partner with other business stakeholders (such as Product Group, Technology Development, Marketing, GFO, FS and RKT) to define/run different supportability programs and improve processes for releasing new products. The Senior Product Rollout Manager will provide leadership and direction for all facets of product rollout within Business User Primary Support. Over time, this role may expand to include the Business Suite and Technology Primary Support team as well.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS - Designing and maintaining the product release readiness methodology - Readiness responsibility for all product releases, including headcount planning - Collaborating with the GFM and NEXUS teams to ensure coordination and maximum effectiveness (with minimal overlap) of product rollout - Coordinating resources from Business User Primary Support for SME assignment to product releases - Collaborating with various management teams to align program scope and resources with Primary Support core objectives and KPIs - Managing the quality and completion of all product rollout facets including training, infrastructure (e.g., servers and 3rd party software), internal app readiness (e.g., BCP), internal communication, and support process deliverables - Defines the deliverables of the program at each phase of the PIL for Business User Support - Acting as the point of contact for Technology Development, Ramp-Up - Provide guidance on the potential impact of upcoming releases with regards to process change, training time, and potential case volume - Representing BU Primary Support in the Go/NoGo decisions at each phase of the PIL and other WW events (Field Advisory Board, etc.) - Coordinating Supportability programs (such as Beta, secondment, etc.) - Attending technology development meetings and disseminating information as required - Owning the SLA with Product Rollout Team - Provide guidance and direction for product rollout strategies and projects - Status reporting to include verbal, written and team updates - Other product rollout/readiness duties/projects as assigned, which could include expanded scope of BST products and/or people management |

Bachelor’s degree in technology related field and awareness of industry technology An independent worker, but is effective at collaborating with others across various geographies and cultures – most often via phone and e-mail Plan, manage and ensure that Business User Primary Support is ready for all product releases Understanding of the Business User products Organized, detail oriented and can manage time effectively Excellent communication skills Fluency in both oral and written English Ability to interact and influence others at different levels including executives and, especially, over the phone Helping others define goals, successful outcomes Excellent word and PowerPoint skills Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, given the global nature of the role 5-7 years product rollout experience Experience in preparing support teams for new product releases and have experience with the Business Objects and/or SAP products |
