Core responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Planning Define the longer term B2B marketing strategy for PayPal UK Develop and execute quarterly marketing plans Work in conjunction with global teams to develop actionable strategic initiatives and share best practice, e.g. segmentation models Manage a £2m marketing budget, reprioritising for greatest returns Track and measure impact of activities to show ROI
2. Acquisition Marketing Focus on the acquisition of new business customers for PayPal across the spectrum of segments from one man bands to large enterprise eCommerce retailers. Direct the team to deliver creative through the line acquisition marketing campaigns with proven return on investment. Deliver online marketing strategies that drive traffic and conversion for small businesses. Raise consideration and drive acquisition of medium businesses through ATL campaigns, , direct mail, telemarketing and channel marketing campaigns. Increase awareness and consideration of large enterprise retailers through events, testimonials, white papers, high impact DM and sale support collateral. Build PayPal as a credible B2B brand for all target segments Work with PR colleagues to ensure consistent messaging
3. Relationship Marketing Develop initiatives that drive greater share of checkout of existing retailers. Drive higher engagement with existing customers through targeted upsell and cross sell campaigns Build, analyse and act on attrition models to ensure PayPal retains our customer base
4. Product Marketing Continual enhancement of the B2B PayPal site, messaging and on boarding experience to drive improvements in acquisition and activation rates. Manage the messaging and communication of our products suite. Create and develop product bundling that meets needs of key target segments Liaise with telesales teams to ensure clarity of understanding and key selling points of our products Lead cross functional teams to improve our pricing communication
5. General Management Develop, direct and manage existing team of 7, and lay plans for continued growth of team Key member of Marketing Management team Close liaison with and member of Merchant Services Management team Acting as UK lead or representative on high profile global strategic Merchant Services Marketing projects Assisting with management of wider marketing team including recruitment and people development Managing relationships with external agencies and internal teams |

Proven experience of creating strategic B2B marketing plans and executing tactical B2B through the line campaigns with robust ROI Extensive online marketing experience, with working knowledge of search, display and email marketing Exceptional people management skills Strong project management skills with experience with work prioritisation, planning, influencing and working in cross-functional teams Financial services background and channel marketing experience are preferable
Strong MS Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel Knowledge of online marketing systems such as Mediaplex, Omniture preferred Knowledge of HTML & Photoshop a plus
Good team player with collaborative approach Strong people and communication skills, both written and verbal Experience of working across multi-disciplinary teams Proven analytical ability and results orientated High energy and enthusiasm with evidence of being a self-starter, and ability to be ‘hands on’ Demonstrated track record of delivering results – on time Sense of humour is de rigueur! |
