The successful candidate for this position will demonstrate the following attributes:
Broad experience with U.S. international tax rules including Subpart F, foreign tax credit, transfer pricing, etc.;
Broad experience with European and UK income tax systems and planning concepts as they relate to M&A, debt financing, transfer pricing and other effective tax rate planning;
Proven ability to:
· Quickly identify and develop creative international tax planning strategies that are both practical and realistic to implement;
· Develop and implement tax planning strategies in a large and complex multi-national organization working with business operations personnel (including support functions such as Finance, Legal, Treasury and Accounting);
· Provide meaningful input into managing the Bank's effective tax and proficiency in tax accounting principles;
· Comprehend and accomplish Tax Director and International Planning Manager's objectives in an efficient manner with minimal guidance and oversight;
· Clearly and concisely communicate complex tax issues to the Bank's senior European management;
Manage external advisors in an effective and cost efficient manner
