There is a requirement for a senior technical role to provide technical direction and support across multiple technologies. This role is required to assure quality and best practice is applied across all our developments, introducing latest and most appropriate technologies, processes, methodologies whilst ensuring that delivery standards are maintained and improved. This role also requires working and influencing across the global business lines to create a flow of information in all directions with technology business partners within Experian to deliver high quality products. This is a non line management role, but there is a requirement to achieve deliveries through others including our technical lead team, our Global Experian team and our offshore partners whilst ensuring that deliveries meet industry best practice standards and fully achieve the business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to a Software Development Manager the successful candidate will:
* Be responsible for designing and delivering solutions to meet all functional and non-functional requirements and ensure that they conform to industry standard best practice.
* Be exposed globally and be able to influence best practice and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
* Produce technical feasibility reports for proposed projects and business plans including budgetary costs and delivery timescales to be taken forward and realised in a client or product delivery.
* Help to resolve client incidents of a complex nature and contribute to root cause analysis, ensuring that these are acted upon in future solutions. |

* Delivering complex solutions through development teams including partnership with offshore development teams (outsourced and captive) and third parties.
# Is a technical expert within one or more delivery platforms (Mainframe, Windows, Linux etc) Broad understanding of multiple delivery platforms
# Strong Analytical skills and in depth knowledge of multiple analysis methodologies.
# Have an in depth understanding of the development lifecycle and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile etc)
# Have practical experience in a broad range of technologies (ETL Tools, .Net, Web services, DB2 etc)
# Ability to analyse business requirements and advise/challenge on appropriate technologies to fulfill requirements.
# Ability to influence and motivate across a global organistaion
# Works collaboratively, leads by example and inspires the trust of others.
# Proactive in attaining knowledge and motivated to keep pace with technology.
