Sales Solution Professional, Unified Communications
As an Enterprise Partner Group (EPG) Sales Solution Professional (SSP), you will work collaboratively with Account Team Unit, Specialist Team Unit, and Partner resources to satisfy business unit goals. These goals will include achieving Live Communications Server, Office Live Meeting, and Exchange revenue objectives across Microsoft’s largest customer accounts, meeting subsidiary strategic goals, operating as a virtual team member of the subsidiary, supporting Lotus Notes migrations, insuring that UC products are an integral part of the account plans and opportunity focus, and evangelizing UCG strategy and technologies to appropriate subsidiary/partner personnel.

You will be responsible for:
1. Meeting or exceeding revenue targets for the UC products as well as the additional commitments/objectives assigned
2. Developing a healthy United Communications pipeline of qualified Office Live Meeting, Live Communications Server, and Exchange opportunities.
3. Identifying Unified Communication compete gaps within targeted accounts and the ways in which Microsoft can dislodge the competition or augment the share of Microsoft technologies within accounts.
4. Researching targeted accounts’ total application spend and driving a strategy that gives Microsoft a significant percentage of that spend.
5. Creating and maintaining solution opportunity generation plans that contribute to Account Planning efforts.
6. Ensuring hand-offs to and engagements with the appropriate resources at the appropriate phase of the Solution Selling Process, with measures in place to track the total cost-of-sale.
7. Bringing customers to agreement on the business value of proven solutions.
8. Closing deals by reinforcing the business value of solutions and acting as an interface between customers and partners/Services.
9. Contributing to the recruitment, engagement and readiness of partners who can help the SSP UC role scale capacity.
10. Delivering referenceable and satisfied accounts that can be leveraged in future sales engagements.
11. Educating Account Team Unit members on how to identify potential Unified Communication opportunities.

Key Accountabilities
Sales Teamwork/Integration:
High degree of collaboration with multiple Microsoft sales personnel, Partner Account Managers, as well as Microsoft Partners.
Develop strong relationships with counterpart sales team in key partners.
Able to potentially manage multiple partner resources to deliver against expectations of the customer on a per opportunity basis.
Working effectively within a virtual team, taking strategic direction from opportunity owners and considering inputs from team members.
Ability to collaborate and involve appropriate resources to ensure win and success of projects.

Experience with Unified Communications:
Good understanding of Microsoft’s Unified Communications products, strategy and vision; and an understanding of competitive offerings in this space (eg. Cisco, Avaya)
A thorough understanding of the voice communications and/or collaborative solutions marketplace. An appreciation of the current market for VOIP, IP-PBX solutions would be especially valuable.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
1) Essential Experience
Strong, proven track record of consistently holding or exceeding quota using a consultative/solution selling approach, focused on solving Enterprise customer problems with Line of Business solutions
Proven ability to build relationships with executive level contacts in Enterprise customers &/or partners
Proven leadership experience -of internal cross functional teams & multiple partner teams.
Additional sales or marketing qualifications centered on driving business value through the use of technology in a specific industry vertical market would be beneficial.

2) Technical / Functional Skills
Strong sales/market awareness of the Microsoft UC Technologies including in-depth knowledge of competitive technologies
Ability to clearly articulate the Microsoft UC value proposition
