This role within the Business & Relationship Management team for European Structured Finance in London encompasses revenue coordination and forecasting, as well as market research and competitor analysis across all sub sectors of Structured Finance. This team player will be responsible for all reports relating to revenue, market activity and competitor intelligence and will be the central contact for all related enquiries.
Principle Role: You will be working as part of the Business & Relationship Management team for European Structured Finance reporting to one of the senior managers with the group. You will work closely with the product managers for each asset class, as well as the directors in each European jurisdiction and have a number of key responsibilities across all SF products.
Market Share • Track Structured Finance (SF) issuance by volume and deal number across all relevant asset classes. This involves checking press and other websites and ensuring that this information appears in our central database. • Play a key role in the production of the quarterly market share report, including providing charts and tables, analysing the data, spotting trends and writing commentary, as well as coordinating with other team members and checking the final document • Report statistics on monthly and quarterly basis for Executive Board report • Provide calendar YTD statistics for department monthly report • Generate SF market share report on a fiscal year basis for monthly senior staff meetings and provide a monthly summary detailing fiscal year statistics for issuance volume, market share and other market information • Track and record pricing information for new SF transactions on a monthly basis • Data mining for the Business Development group to support strategic planning efforts e.g. segmentation of top ten banks, top ten originators/issuers, etc • Respond to ad-hoc internal requests for market share information • Respond to internal/external requests for overall market statistics • Provide market statistics/graphs for research articles
Competitor Analysis • Keep up to date on all competitor activity for department monthly report • Liaise with Product Sales team regarding new and existing competitor products • Provide ad hoc reports on changes in the competitive landscape across all asset classes in Structured Finance.
Market Research • Provide a daily update to SF Business Development on important market news from international and trade press • Ensure all market moves are noted and updated in contact database, liaising with department administrator • Send rating actions on a weekly basis to investment bank research contacts • Generate report for rating actions on a fiscal year basis and provide a detailed summary by asset class on a fortnightly basis • Develop relationships with investment bank research contacts and ultimately take full responsibility for research house relationship management programme
Fee and Revenue Coordination • Ensure fee database is kept up to date by attending monthly meetings with department administrators and asset class team leaders, and liaising with the product managers for each asset class and the directors in each European jurisdiction • Generate revenue reports and produce forecast for monthly Accounts meeting, briefing senior managers in Business Development regarding any changes and additions since the previous forecast • Liaise with department administrators to ensure that all invoices are processed by month end • Provide an updated forecast at the end of each month with details of invoices processed and any changes • Provide a summary at the end of each month to Business Development and Accounts department with details of forecasted revenue for each asset class • Liaise with Accounts department to ensure figures for actual revenue are received after month end • Provide a reconciliation from forecast for Accounts department and Business Development • Provide a summary to Business Development and Accounts department for monthly senior staff meeting with details of actual revenue received by each asset class • Monitor and follow up on all transactions for which Fitch has presented an engagement proposal to ensure the agency’s participation
Key Deliverables: 1. Track and report revenue according to monthly schedule 2. Track and report market share statistics according to monthly schedule 3.
