Regional Head, Wealth Management, West
- Develop and implement strategies to deliver superior performance in customer franchise and business financials in the Wealth Management area in the region.
- Allocate resources and manage priorities to maximise economic profit performance and meet business targets.
- Ensure proper risk and control, and full compliance with internal policies and external regulations for Wealth Management products and services.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Strategy and Business Performance -
- Build a value centre organisation and management team capable of delivering distinctive performance within Wealth Management in the region.
- Identify key performance drivers and establish/address an agenda of top issues/opportunities to improve value centre performance and growth.
- Whilst aligning to Group wealth strategies, develop and implement regional strategies for Wealth Management products and customer segments to enhance franchise value and deliver performance.
- Establish value centre support requirements, and work with heads of in-country support functions to enable them to effectively support delivery of value centre strategies at minimum cost.
- Work as part of the Regional CB management team, in establishing priorities for the Consumer Bank overall in the region. Support the Regional Consumer Bank Head in developing overall country strategy.
- Work as part of the top team to ensure effective performance delivery for Consumer Bank overall in the region and work collaboratively to resolve issues across value centres in ways that maximise performance for Consumer Bank overall.

Product Development and Portfolio Optimization
- Drive product innovation and development initiatives, in conjunction with Group Product heads, to meet/anticipate needs of customer segments across Private, Premium, Personal and SME Banking
- Optimize existing product portfolio & bundled offerings through sustained activation & utilization activities
- Manage compliance of PDDs, CRDs and the control of programs/CDD
- Develop and launch cross-product bundling propositions for deepening customer relationship and brand loyalty
- Work with Marketing on product marketing and branding and ensure alignment with Consumer Bank brand positioning and strategy
- Identify new segments, channels or opportunities for product distribution and marketing
- Work collaboratively with other business functions to enhance business opportunities through cross-sell and to resolve cross-functional operations and service issues.
- Implement group product governance standards covering related E2E sales and service delivery & customer engagement and advisory process
- Implement group/regional governance standards, processes and guidelines for product advisory/sales specialists¿ role qualifications, capacity planning & skill and knowledge certifications
- Enable the frontline with the necessary product knowledge, customer engagement skills through provision of collaterals, tools, training support and scripts
- Maximise the investment and use of existing and new channels across various products

Process -
- Responsible for the delivery and maintenance of group, country, unit operating plans and policies, ensuring conformance and consistency of provision.
- Oversees the strategic management of vendors and other third party suppliers, jointly with Group wealth, to ensure quality and value of service delivery across businesses within area of responsibility.
- Improve the end-to-end process for Wealth Management suite with focus on quality in delivery and cycle time.
- This includes working with Segment, Distribution, Marketing & Functions on processes and systems for acquisition, underwriting, authorization, account retention & maintenance, results tracking, etc to deliver the customer value proposition.
- Manage the productivity and efficiency of the balance sheet.

Leadership and People -
- Manage all value centre staff and develop talent pool for future growth and continuity.
- Be an effective agent of change and provides strong people management leadership through resourcing, retention, performance development and teambuilding.
- Coach direct reports and key talents to deliver individual performance
- Manage employee engagement, motivation and attrition issues

Compliance and Control -
- Ensure that effective arrangements are in place within Wealth Management in the region, for the prevention of money laundering in line with the Group Policy and Standards, respective country regulatory guidelines and local legal requirements. In particular, through the designation of a Business MLPO, ensure that the obligations on reporting suspicious activities are met.
- Acts as an interface with regulatory bodies and owns compliance accountability within area of responsibility

Knowledge and Skills:
Functional -
Strong experience in consumer banking and Private Banking, in particular deep experience across wealth management products
Proven experience in a general management position covering products and sales with oversight on operations, credit risks, and compliance, with full profit & loss responsibilities
Strategic acumen coupled with ability to operationalize and drive execution
Strong leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal skills and multicultural awareness and sensitivity
Ability to network and operate effectively within a matrix organization and often influence, without authority
Deep knowledge and understanding of investment products and services in strategic Asset Allocation, Asset and Liability management, risk management and complex international financial needs
Sound understanding of all business guidelines and compliance requirements and issues
Strong people management skills
In-depth understanding of key business driver in dedicated geographical market(s) with sound understanding of legal, political and economic situation/framework
Deep understanding of cultural ethnic and religious market conditions
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
