Real Estate Finance Legal Advisor
Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking ("SG CIB"), a division of Société Générale is looking for a lawyer with good real estate finance experience to provide legal support primarily for its real estate finance team in London and also to other finance business lines. Remuneration packages will be competitive.

Context and Responsibilities
The real estate finance team in London provides SG CIB clients with tailor-made solutions combining asset and market expertise with structuring skills and providing financing on a recourse or non-recourse basis. As a result of increased work load they require dedicated legal support in London to help review and comment on structuring and execution issues for their transactions.

At the present time it is expected that supporting the real estate finance team will take up the majority of the successful candidate’s time and the rest of the time will be spent providing legal support to SG CIB’s other structured finance teams (including leveraged finance, project finance, acquisition finance, mining finance and oil and gas finance).

The role will require close cooperation with the business lines from both a transactional development and a risk control perspective. The candidate will be expected to respond quickly to business requests and will be involved with all aspects of the transaction from deal inception to financial close as well as providing ongoing advice and assistance in relation to existing deals.

The successful candidate will report to the head of the Loan Finance team within the Corporate & Structured Finance team in the London legal department but will need to be comfortable with a significant level of responsibility and autonomy.
