QA & Testing Specialist
This London-based role is for an experienced QA Manager who will define and initially help implement the test strategy for these diverse set of applications. The role requires an enthusiastic self-starter who wants to deliver quality solutions by employing Quality analysis, functional domain and testing skills and who is confident working with both onshore and offshore teams to deliver these solutions.

As a QA Manager you will be responsible for;
- Stakeholder Management: Interacting with business representatives, IT delivery teams (Test Analysts, Business Analysts, Technical Leads, Project Manager and Development Manager) and vendor teams to co-ordinate the QA of all IT delivery. Interaction with senior stakeholders is also a regular occurrence so a confident communicator is essential in this role.
- Resource Management: A substantial part of LRC IT resource mix is made up of outsourced partners. The Test Manager will co-ordinate these resources involved in test activity and in particular will need to help address gaps in business knowledge among the testers and reduce the quantity of ‘invalid’ defects (i.e. those that are rejected by the dev team / business).
- Quality Ownership: You will be required to lead and oversee the approach to testing for the department. The key objective of this role is to ensure that the appropriate quality checks are in place for all deliveries. Produce MIS on ‘defect leakage’ (defects leaked from Development into UAT and Prod).
- Influence Development methods: Identify and articulate any clustering of defects (e.g. centered on certain technologies or functionality) and feed those back to the development teams. Input into any test driven development approaches employed on projects.
- Manage and input into Project Lifecycle:
- Technical Design (review of Technical test cases)
- Functional Design (involvement in the preparation of tests cases based on functional requirements)
- Test planning and preparation: Preparation of system and integration test plans and test cases, adequately resourcing test phase of projects, scheduling of test phase into overall project plan
- Test execution and reporting: Test status reporting, escalating quality issues
- Issue analysis and resolution (ensure that all issues are track and risk assessed)
- Release management and change control (ensure that all changes are correctly risk assessed and fully tested)
- Continuous Improvement: Continually enhancing test packs to keep up with functional releases, closing gaps in tests cases and review of the overall test strategy for a project.

• Substantial experience as a QA within an Investment Banking domain
• Experience of working within a full project life cycle from initiation through to implementation; experience of working with a project management methodology would be an advantage
• Experience of liaison with other departments (i.e. Business units, Infrastructure teams, Audit) across multiple countries
• Experience in working with remote client and vendor resources
• Experience in identifying and documenting client technical needs, internal structures, procedures, workflows and systems
• Vendor management experience
• Experience of industry leading testing and test automation tools
• Capture statistics and trends on the overall test program
• Team Player - Willingness to share information and follow Group standards
• Proven track record of delivering projects in a challenging environment
• Confident manner - Business awareness and well presented, be able to work closely with users
• Good oral and written communication
