Application support is responsible for providing a comprehensive technical/product support service to the Applied Science business area. We now have an opportunity for a Product Specialist at our Head Office in Burgess Hill (location may be flexible for the right candidate) to bring their own expertise for application support to a highly motivated team.
Principally office based, the role will have a strong emphasis on customer site visits , where you will provide comprehensive customer training courses, technical assistance and application support for current and new products to Roche Applied Science customers. You will maintain strong relationships with the Sales and Marketing Teams to maximise business opportunities and provide assistance in the sales process.

With recent experience in molecular research or technical support for molecular products you will already be something of an expert in your field but you will also need the trouble shooting skills to identify and solve problems combined with the communication skills to reassure our customers. You will have the ability to recognise and act on the customer's needs, seeing issues through to resolution. You will also be a team player, able to work closely with others in the group and other business areas.
A major focus for the role will be Next Generation Sequencing so experience with our 454 sequencing technology will be advantageous. A degree level qualification in molecular biology or equivalent and experience working in a research laboratory is essential.
