Process Designer Plan to Produce/Supply Chain Planning 6 Month Contract
The Process and Application Team is responsible for the enterprise wide designing of processes and technology applications that will optimize the depth and breadth of Cargill. Much of the work Cargill does today will benefit from common processes that are not dependent on technology: establishing Strategic Intent (SI), Cargill's brand strategy, and managing internal controls are just a few examples of processes that are expected to designed, but not technology enabled. However, many process areas must be enabled by technology to achieve the aspirations of SI 2015. Process Designers provide the subject matter knowledge that will make both possible.

Supply Chain Planning (SCP):
Drives integrated planning from suppliers to customers along the supply chain. SCP is broken down into: Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP), Demand Planning (DP), Supply Network Planning (SNP), Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS), and Global Available to Promise (GATP).

There will be multiple Process Designer positions. The team will consist of a range of talent with combined experiences and expertise that will ensure focus on identified processes, and that the collective voices across Cargill are heard.

The Supply Chain Planning (SCP) Process Designer will be responsible for three types of analysis and design:
•Process design and analysis will include the identification and analysis of business and functional process requirements, process mapping (as-is and to-be), and the design of activities, tasks and sub processes. Process Designers will also be expected to coordinate with SAP specialists to translate process requirements into software configuration or development specifications, and will be expected to write and execute testing scenarios and scripts.
•Application analysis will include the translation of process requirements and designs into system requirements and system configuration settings. Process Designers will be expected to author functional specifications for software development.
•Controls analysis will include the identification of process control risks and the design of process controls to mitigate or eliminate those risks. Process Designers will be expected to implement and test business process controls for processes that are both manual and application-enabled.
Candidates must possess strong knowledge of Supply Chain Planning processes or Cargill's contract application, settlement and payment processes. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to work on multiple tasks within defined timelines. The following allocation of time is an estimate, which will vary according to the phase of the project

Not all Process Designers will be required to perform all three types of analysis and design. It is expected, however, that most Process Designer responsibilities will include at least two of these types of analysis. The specific Process focus areas in scope for Process Redesign and SAP Implementation for this role are:
• Sales and Operations Planning - enterprise business management process and governance
•Supply Network Planning - Long and mid range rough cut capacity planning
•Deployment - Inventory Management and Replenishment
•Demand Planning - Sales forecasting
•Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling - Short range planning used to create production plans and material requirements.
•Global Available to Promise - Matching supply to demand.
•Data and Core Interface - Data integration between Enterprise Central Component and Advanced Planning Optimization.
