Operations Director - Financial Services
As a result of the incumbent’s promotion and rotation internally, Cisco is recruiting for a talented leader to lead the UK and Ireland Financial Services business and to continue with the transformation of the company’s offerings in this space. The annual revenue goal for this business unit is $150m with plans for y/y revenue growth is circa 8% and the team comprises of 45 people in Account Manager and Technical Specialist (Systems Engineer) roles with a direct reporting structure of 4 Regional Sales Managers and 1 Systems Engineering Manager.

• Coach and support the development of managers and the overall Financial services sales team
• Meet and exceed UK and Ireland Financial services financial and operational targets ( revenue growth, sales, expense and customer satisfaction)
• Create an effective Go to Market sales strategy which is aligned to the Global strategy and execute flawlessly against it
• Ensure sales operational excellence in driving the business in a controlled and sales focused manner while not stifling innovation
• Build long-term sustainable relationships with key external stakeholders in the Financial services sector ensuring Cisco develops its premium brand in the marketplace and is seen as the ICT Partner of choice in the Financial services space
• Coach and support the development of the leadership and people management skills of the leadership team and ensure a positive, open, innovative and high performing environment for the entire team
• Partner with senior leaders in the UK and Cisco’s Channel Partners to develop Cisco’s Channel and Partner Ecosystem
• Work collaboratively with European BU Leaders to leverage best practice and drive the ongoing transformation of the Cisco Financial services business in the UK and Ireland.

• A track record of over-achievement of sales targets while ensuring operational excellence
• A track record of leading large organizations in a successful and growing environment
• A track record of senior level client engagements with evidence of strong influencing skills
• Multi sector experience and track record of sales operational excellence using Channels
• A track record of providing commercially aligned, pragmatic solutions to business issues
• A good knowledge and breadth of sectors and business issues
• Good influencing skills, with strong relationships within Financial services sector
• Experience of working in matrixed, complex, fast-moving and constantly changing environments head quartered in the US
