To develop and maintain the systems and processes supporting the maintenance and accuracy of key D&B data elements. Lead and drive successful, efficient and robust technical solutions to meet business and specific project demands. Ensure and oversee that the capture & quality of all core data loaded to the Global databases meet agreed targets. That set policies and procedures are followed, allowing us to meet customers' data requirements as defined by DUNSRight* Metrics covering ACT + C, while achieving company cost and revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:-
•Datanomic and MS SQL Database Architecture and Administration
•Manage MS SQL databases to ensure optimal performance, capacity management and reliability
•Plan and implement improvements and enhancements to the current database architecture and workflows.
•Establish regular backups of key data, both locally and to long-term storage, following an agreed backup strategy
•Gain a thorough understanding of the infrastructure with special attention to the database organization, schemas and operation.
•Creating a Datanomics centre of excellence within D&B, consulting with other business areas on specific Datanomics implementations.
•Create and implement project plans across a variety of technologies to improve the performance, reliability and functionality of the infrastructure.
•Work with the Content Management team in assessing, planning and implementing new data vendors and processes in line with our Global strategy giving required focus to achieve unassailable data quality.
•Communication of key performance metrics and recommend areas for improvement.
•Champion quality assurance and the eradication of repeated service failures |

•Expert knowledge and experience on MS SQL Server 2000/2005, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 would be an advantage
•Knowledge and experience of Datanomic dn:Director
•Knowledge and experience of Java
•Knowledge and experience of writing SQL queries
•Excellent relational database knowledge
•Production support skills and analysis services are essential
•An interest and knowledge of technologies and how they can be leveraged to improve infrastructure performance, reliability and functionality.
•Technical Knowledge of OS platforms
•3 years of production MSSQL support is essential
•A proven history of delivery to fixed timescales
•Strong drive, self-motivated, flexible values working as part of a team, and ability to work independently
•Clear understanding of business goals and global data strategy, and customer data requirements with a thorough knowledge of all data sources, policies, processes and procedures
•Ability to develop excellent working relationships and work closely with data suppliers and data processors and other team members with the ability to build relationships across wide range of personalities, abilities and cultures
•Excellent listening and communication skills with the ability to coach and develop other team members
