Based in Marlow however will require travel to Hampton.
The successful candidate will form part of a dynamic team of software designers/engineers tasked with delivering exciting customer-focused, web-based applications and products. Providing online business information solutions through an established architecture, the team works closely with commercial clients to deliver sophisticated technology as part of a multi-million pound IS strategy project.
Responsibilities:-
•To develop new software applications/products to team-agreed timescales and standards
•Within a proven project-management process, be involved in all aspects of development life-cycle including design, estimation, build, verification and maintenance handover
•To work closely with commercial clients in identifying design options for well defined requirements and provide estimates to form the basis for strategic business decisions and product design
•To be involved in the ongoing development and maintenance of an exciting and complex hardware, database and software architecture and infrastructure
•To perform support tasks for both existing and in-development software where necessary
•To produce appropriate documentation for software releases and maintenance handovers |

•Strong commercial Java (J2EE) experience with strong knowledge of EJB, XML and XSL
•Strong experience of JBoss (or similar), Struts and JUnit
•Commercial experience of using Unix or Linux
•Experience with a version control system, preferably CVS
•Knowledge of SQL querying and data manipulation
•Sun Java certification would be beneficial
•Any exposure to the business information market would be beneficial
•Team player
•Good communication and interpersonal skills
