Apple uses email marketing extensively to deliver targeted information to its database of millions of existing and prospective customers. These digital communications are particularly vital in supporting product launches and in educating customers so that they can get the most out of the products they own.
In the EMEIA region Apple communicates with its customers across 19 countries and in 13 languages. The campaigns that the Direct Marketing team produces cover all of Apple’s strategic products and are designed to encourage a wide range of actions, ranging from visiting apple.com to find out more information about a product, to making a product purchase on the Online Store.
The Direct Marketing team is looking for an enthusiastic individual to contribute to the continued success of the email marketing operation. The successful candidate will provide support to the production team in the following areas:
Loading of HTML content files into the email transmission system, managing the sending of previews and co-ordinating final approvals Managing the sending schedule of email campaigns, ensuring that mails are sent on the correct date/time. Informing relevant internal teams when campaigns are being sent, including details of the creative and audience volume Maintaining the campaign schedule, ensuring that any changes to the schedule are agreed with the relevant internal stakeholders Managing the delivery of regular campaigns within the email delivery system, moving campaigns in and out of production as appropriate Producing and publishing standard campaign reports detailing clicks (including click maps), opens and revenue Creating Keynote presentations that summarise campaign results Running ad-hoc reports on the customer database and presenting the information for onward transmission Maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of information contained in the planning system Checking campaigns before localisation, build and transmission in conjunction with QA agency. Ensure that all issues are identified before sending Co-ordinating extracts of customer data, ensuring that the criteria for selection are executed accurately and in a timely manner |

Candidates for the role will possess a keen interest in digital marketing with a relevant degree or work experience. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are also vital as the successful candidate will need to keep the various internal and external stakeholders informed on the progress of individual campaigns. This is particularly important as the DM team and its agency partners are based in a number of locations across Europe.
In addition a logical and organised approach to working is required with strong attention to detail to ensure that campaigns are always sent on time and to the required level of quality.
In addition the successful candidate will have the following skills: Be familiar and comfortable working with data and systems Experience of reporting and analysis tools an advantage Finally a strong academic record is required plus the willingness to learn and be a useful member of a dynamic and busy team is a key requirement.
Apple Internships are aimed at placement year students or immediate graduates and is a fixed term assignment for a maximum of 51 weeks. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the UK for the period of the placement. |
