The jobholder will be responsible for the delivery of world class global resourcing solutions across the international activities of Barclays Wealth Infrastructure, spanning bespoke Senior Executive recruitment through to large volume recruitment programs The role holder will work with the Global Head of Resourcing to ensure Barclays Wealth has in place the most effective access routes to our target talent pool, a uniform employer proposition to the market, highly effective assessment and selection processes, and a seamless workflow process behind all of our recruitment activity
Core accountabilities • Build in conjunction with Marketing and Communications the external employer brand for Barclays Wealth as appropriate for each talent pool (experienced vs. volumes, business unit type, geography etc.) • Co-ordinate the active recruitment program for Infrastructure, which averages over 1,000 live vacancies annually (covering headcount growth, talent upgrading and voluntary attrition) • Design of bespoke resourcing solutions for the business, including scaled and cross-border activities • Key accountability for the design and delivery of high profile global resourcing programmes • Prime responsibility for ensuring our assessment and selection process and tools for all levels of recruitment is and remains leading edge. This will include but not be limited to assessment centres, technical testing, and DNA lead CBI techniques. A key accountability will be to ensure the management of the business are fully skilled to assess and select new entrants to the business • Maintaining a high quality preferred supplier list (PSL) with appropriately benchmarked terms, based on solid partnering relationships. Key accountability to ensure Wealth has access to a matrix of key skill recruitment partners in all geographic locations. The Head of Resourcing will own key relationships with the most Senior Executive Search partners in all geographic locations |

• Significant experience of leading and developing a high quality team of graduate calibre professionals. • Ideally experience in managing remote resources, cross-border, with an ability to understand and nurture differing cultural styles • Significant direct experience of high pace, high intellect environments such as Investment Banking, Management Consultancy, Asset Management or Private Equity • International experience, with the ability to demonstrate active delivery of accountabilities offshore to the UK • The jobholder will ideally have for several years held the lead management position in delivering recruitment solutions to a large scale blue-chip business • Previous experience of high volume recruitment in a complex people environment is essential Professional/technical experience • Direct experience of senior executive recruitment through their established network of executive search providers globally, with the gravitas to lead the recruitment of Management Committee positions • Demonstrated ability to build a recruitment brand through their BAU activities and media deployment • Skilled in assessment design for all levels of position, the jobholder will have direct experience of both in-house development and the external procurement of assessment centre tools and techniques • Highly skilled competency based interviewer, with the ability to coach and guide senior executives in quality decision making • Project Management skills, to enable the delivery of multiple pan functional projects alongside BAU recruitment activity • Vendor procurement skills are essential Qualifications: • A high quality degree level education and a first class general academic track record with solid numerical and commercial skills. CIPD not required. • Strong English communication skills a critical requirement, with 2nd and 3rd languages (French and/or Spanish) ideal but not essential. • Action oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement • Creative and conceptual, but pragmatic in their ability to delivery solutions to the business • Commercially minded first, best practice second • Good relationship builder who evokes trust and openness in people • Discrete, with a reputation for integrity. • Can display gravitas with all levels within the organisation |
