- To own the delivery of internal communications to BIA staff.
- To develop the knowledge and skills of BIA staff through effective communication channels and appropriate materials.
- To produce and implement strategic Internal Communications objectives for BIA.
- Develop and implement an Internal Communications strategy for BIA, including communications channels, messages and materials.
- To devise and project manage the implementation of Internal Communications initiatives for BIA.
- Manage the BIA Internal Communications budget & internal/external suppliers to ensure value for money services are delivered to BIA.
- To develop the intranet as the primary communications tool and information resource within Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) and oversee the design and build of new intranet sites as required by the Function.

Experience of developing and delivering executive communications, combining innovation and adoption of new approaches with cost effective delivery

Experience of project management would be valuable - conceiving, planning and managing the delivery of high impact communication campaigns and projects to tight timescales

Good knowledge and understanding of the strategies, structures, roles and businesses across the Barclays Group and of what executive communications are expected to deliver in relation to these.
Understanding of external market/environment - political, regulatory, economic, social, environmental, technological issues, trends, developments, threats and opportunities - and the implications for executive communications and its stakeholders
Good understanding of best practice and latest developments in corporate positioning and executive communications
