Our combined businesses make us a leader in global investment banking Deaprtment Overview: The department is a key part of the firm's corporate governance and the department's primary objectives is to review the firm's control environment and report any weaknesses identified to the Audit Committee and senior management

Role / Principal Accountabilities:
• Conduct internal audits of Global Markets and relevant corporate functions in Europe, principally covering planning, fieldwork, and reporting findings. Follow up of issues raised in reports. (c.70% of time).
• Carry out special projects, ad hoc investigations and advisory work. (c.15% of time)
• Develop ongoing working relationships to provide advice on control matters and update knowledge of business and internal developments generally (c. 10 % of time)
• Undertake overseas office visits, or liaison with other offices (c. 5% of time). 3 Key Objectives critical to success of the role (if applicable):
• Confidence in dealing with senior management / Front Office
• Self starting and ability to deliver quality work without supervision
• Builds and maintains relationships with finance & support area colleagues
Qualifications: Bachelors
Experience: 7 years +
Languages: English : Speak / Write Fluently

• Broad base of post qualification audit experience.
• Gained experience of Investment Banking / Capital Markets firms.
• Confident manner and strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to influence and persuade auditees regarding control issues. Desirable:
• Exposure to Equity, Fixed Income and Treasury businesses across cash and derivative products.
• First-hand experience of internal audit.
• Background knowledge of securities regulations
Additional Skills Required:
• Graduate or similar higher education qualification (1st or 2nd or equivalent class).
• ACA (top 4) with 1st time passes
