The FX Derivatives group is seeking an experienced FX derivatives market practitioner with in-depth product knowledge to move into an exciting Business Management role. You will be joining a rapidly expanding specialised area of Bloomberg focussed on enhancing Bloomberg's FX Derivatives pricing, structuring and portfolio management tools.
The successful candidate will either have previously been working in sales or structuring at a leading investment bank pricing derivative structures for one or more of the following types of clients: Large Corporates/Multi-Nationals, Institutional Investors, Hedge Funds and Private Banks. Proven knowledge interpreting and/or producing term sheets/sellsheets for FX structured products is also desirable.
The role requires a flare for innovation, with the ideal candidate leveraging from their FX derivatives experience to help specify and design market leading pricing, execution and trade management tools as well as increasing FX product coverage. You will be working with people spanning the whole spectrum from external clients, and internal sales specialists, to developers and quants.
Responsibilities include: - Specifying, designing and testing the look, feel and functionality of pricing and structuring screens for existing and new FX products. This will include specifying the features needed by parties on the buy and sell side, solving functionality, revaluation behaviour, and the display. - Interpreting variants of term sheets for new FX products and distilling these down to an accurate specification for pricing screens and tools suitable for those trading these products. -Project management skills including scheduling, prioritisation, budgeting, milestone verification, risk management, and project status reporting. - Monitoring client feedback and issue queues and responding to and prioritising these. |

-Strong understanding of FX derivatives including market conventions, vanilla/exotic options, and standard strategies, two-way (bid/ask) pricing and trading/sales margin. - Familiarity with the workflow involved in trading FX structured products, from price exploration/revaluation, and execution/affirmation/confirmation right through to booking, trade management and scenario analyses, together with some basic understanding of the risk management process and trade lifecycle. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Excel and Word. Candidate must also have the ability to present in front of a group and interact with clients, via phone or face-to-face. - Ability to work in a fast-paced and complex environment, multitasking to meet deadlines. - Experience with structured products in other asset classes, particularly structured notes is preferable. |
