Investment Products and Services (IPS) UK brings together product specialists involved in product development, coverage/sales support and execution to provide high quality services to Wealth Management client segments. Wealth Planning and Financial Planning are key differentiators in servicing Wealth Management clients. To provide this continuing focus, a number of teams have been brought together under IPS UK Wealth Management, creating the role of Financial Planning (FP) Team Lead which reports to the head of UK Wealth Planning (WP). The FP Team Lead will be responsible for building and managing a small team comprising Financial Planners and para-planners. This team will work along side client advisors providing holistic financial planning solutions and advise clients on a range of regulated solutions including pensions and inheritance tax products. The role holder will be required to build strong relationships with the client advisor population to develop the penetration of FP products and services. A high energy, high impact, distribution focused individual is required to take this team forward.
Primary tasks Build the Financial Planning team which will include leveraging existing internal resources and may additionally require external recruitment. Further develop and refine the financial planning value proposition. Be actively involved in advising UK WM clients on their financial planning needs. Proactively market and communicate FP services and products Seek opportunities to further develop the FP business and increase profitability. Provide guidance, training and development for team members Ensure supervision of the team members ensuring they operate and are compliant with the regulatory requirements and UBS procedures Develop a model for cooperation and sharing of best practice with the client advisor community who are FP authorised. Contribute to the product strategy and roadmap working closely with the WP Product Development and Management team
