The Accounts Receivable department has recently undergone some restructuring and staffing changes to support the increased size of the business and build a strong and multi-skilled team. This role, based in Slough corporate office requires the ability to work in a dynamic, complex, multi-currency business environment, working closely with other remote Amazon teams. The main aim of this role is to drive costs and process improvements, providing timely input, and communicating effectively with direct reports and management, vendors and peers regarding collection and process issues.
Key Responsibilities: - Managing a team of 8 - Organizing team/work to ensure deadlines and goals are met - Conducting Performance Reviews and regular meetings with your team setting and reviewing objectives as required - Staff Training - Issuing, reviewing and working on various reports eg. Aging, Open Balance Reports, Dunning - Reviewing procedural documentation and update as required - Assisting with day to day Accounts receivable work as required - Dealing with queries and escalations - Year/quarter/month close processing - Working with international teams - Close cooperation with business partner and senior management

- Previous Finance experience in a supervisory position is essential - Oracle AR preferred, but not essential - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work to tight deadlines - Happy working in an unstructured/fluid environment - Prior experience with Oracle Payables, SAP or a similar system a plus - Strong analytical skills required - Strong MS-Office skills & strong Excel skills
The ideal candidate would come from a retail accounts receivable background, with proven experience working in a team to achieve high levels of service, improving process and driving down costs. |
