The role is for Senior Procurement and Category Manager supporting indirect sourcing of facilities and construction services across EMEIA for Apple.
This position is responsible for leading a team of Global Supply Managers (GSMs) in the procurement of goods and services supporting Apple Retail and Corporate Facilities. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional procurement professional with significant knowledge of facilities categories, and exceptional ability in procurement contract construction, project management and negotiation skills. The candidate will also have a proven track record in; mentoring and developing teams, people management, persuading and influencing within a corporate environment.
The successful candidate will have a broad and deep category knowledge and sourcing experience in facilities management, maintenance and operations services such as: janitorial, HVAC, landscaping, elevator maintenance, warehousing, moves and installations, office furniture, and environmental health and safety programs. Commodity experience in corporate architectural, design, engineering, and construction services will be a significant plus. Commodity experience specific to maintenance and operations services to retail outlets will be a plus.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: · Leading and managing a team of experienced GSMs to achieve established goals and objectives. · Ensuring sourcing decisions are made per corporate policy, including Apple’s ethics policy, and are in the best interest of the company. · Developing and implementing proactive, best practice procurement strategies, policies, and procedures supporting Facilities. · Building strong partnering relationships within a complex matrix organisation, (finance, legal, facilities, retail) to ensure GSM team are aligned with Apple’s overall goals. · Working with contract templates and legal input to construct robust contracts that mitigate commercial and legal risk, and set out business, performance, reporting and invoices requirements · Working with business teams, Utilising RFI (Request for Information), RFP (Request for Proposal), and RFQ (Request for Quote) techniques to identify, select, and engage with competitive, cost-effective, high quality suppliers. Experience utilising eSourcing tools is essential. · Enhancing supplier relationships in order to ensure optimum levels of; service, quality, value, innovation and cost objectives are met. Perform Supplier Business Reviews (SBRs) to measure and report performance levels and to identify root cause and establish corrective action plans. · Developing goals for team, mentoring teams and managing to targeted goals related to cost savings, eSourcing activities, SBRs, market education Provide regular input in procurement MI to show progress against goals. Projections for required budget and travel requirements for team to senior management. |

Normally requires BA/BS degree plus 7-10 years or MA/MS/MBA degree plus 5-7 years procurement experience, or equivalent. Membership of CIPS required. •Demonstrated ability to lead a team and influence decisions and function effectively as a working manager. •Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and multi-cultural environments •Demonstrated project management skills •Demonstrated ability to conduct complex analyses and translate this into a sound proposal for making business decisions •Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions about scheduling, allocation of resources, and managing priorities •Successful track record in execution and completion of deliverables with a focus on results. •Effective communicator at all levels, excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications and presentation skills - able to operate in a fast paced, matrix based corporate environment. •Flexibility in problem solving, and work hours to meet business objectives. •International and domestic travel may be required. |
