The Operations team is responsible for the day-to-day running of a Directorate that now numbers in excess of 100 people and is responsible for reporting, budgeting, planning and general operational activities, often working closely with the Director, Performance Management and Head of Underwriting Performance. This role will have a particular focus in supporting the Operations Manager in her role as Secretary to the Business Plan and Individual Capital Assessments (ICA) Steering Groups. The candidate will also have responsibility for analysing standard data or ad-hoc queries, preparing management information and reports that will be used by the groups. The individual will need to build strong relationships with colleagues in the Directorate and in other Lloyd’s teams, as well as with an external outsource provider.
Major responsibilities and accountabilities: The primary responsibilities of the Operations Executive include: · To support the Operations Manager in her role as Secretary to the Business Plan and Individual Capital Assessment Steering Groups. This will involve collating information, drafting minutes and working with colleagues to sign them off and being responsible for mechanisms that track approvals to ensure that appropriate deadlines are met. · To build reporting tools in Business Objects so that key performance indicators and management information can be reviewed by PMD senior management team and Lloyd’s governing bodies. · To build good working relationships with colleagues, including Senior Management. · To be main point of contact with an external outsourcing provider and be responsible for co-ordinating updates from other Lloyd’s teams. · To provide executive support to the Director, Performance Management, and certain PMD Heads of Department, in the form of reports, presentations and certain project based work. · To work with other members of the Operations team to ensure that day to day operations run smoothly. · To assist with the development and implementation of consistent processes and procedures across PMD. · To be PMD’s day-to-day interface with other Lloyd’s teams and drive good relationship management and collaboration across the Directorate and the wider Corporation. |
