We have an exciting and challenging proposition for an experienced HSE professional who is looking to use their proven expertise within the HSE arena and to build upon our existing health, safety, environmental and business continuity risk management programme - taking it to the next level. As you would expect, first and foremost your responsibilities will centre around the management of the health, safety and environment of Roche's award winning UK site including meeting legislative and Roche Group requirements. In addition, your remit will also include the increasingly important 'green' agenda where you will use your creative skills and passion for the environment and sustainability to develop innovative solutions that help us, collectively, address the core challenges in this area.

The successful individual will be qualified in the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and will either be trained, or willing to be trained, as a Radiation Protection Supervisor and Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser. Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment are also desirable.
Of course, as the wearer of many 'functional' hats you will be juggling multiple priorities whilst managing the expectations of a number of key stakeholders across all levels of the organisation so, excellent project management skills together with a cool head under pressure are a key expectations.
Other experience considered relevant for this role includes: HSE within a large commercial organisation Business continuity planning (desirable) Line management Accident investigation Health, safety or environmental auditing Implementation of relevant systems such as ISO14001, OHSAS18001 Change management |
