Working with the UK Corporate Derivative Sales Desk to support them on a variety of tasks, Sales Assistants play an active role in the successful operation of the desk. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in the front office in a Sales environment learning about derivative products and how clients operate. We are looking for a Trainee to join on a long term internship of between 6-11 months, starting in July.
Main Responsibilities • Preparing proposals for clients • Indicative pricing derivative structures and solutions • Research on markets and clients • Research and modeling related to any deals they are involved in • Preparing credit requests • Maintaining business data statistics • Reporting clients information in client SGCIB common database • Participating in calls and client meetings • Accurately reporting for internal purposes clients / deals / business follow-ups • To liaise with bankers, relationship managers, SG financing product lines, all other necessary SG departments and entities to develop ‘cross selling’ opportunities and exchange the necessary information.
• Bachelors Degree in a related field of study. Exceptional candidates with an unrelated degree background will be considered individually. • No previous experience is required; however an understanding of interest rate or FX derivatives would be advantageous. • Fluent English to a mother tongue standard required • Proven analytical, computer and interpersonal skills as well as exceptional writing, communication and presentation skills are required. • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint • Communication Skills • Flexibility - Adaptability • Ability to make Decisions • Ability to Work Under Pressure • Analytical Skills • Initiative • Teamwork
