The Knowledge Management Platform and Applications group is responsible for the development of Content Management and Knowledge Management portals for Business Units including Investment Banking, Sales and Trading, Capital Markets, Investment Management and Wealth Management. The team has responsibilities for helping Business Units define a technology strategy for unstructured content management including acquisition, storage, categorizing, tagging, indexing, access & entitlements, search, ratings and lifecycle management.
The team is looking for a Content and Collaboration Platform senior developer. In this role the candidate will be responsible for helping define the strategy for a broad based content platform leveraging multiple technologies. The candidate will be expected to provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and advice with Content Management Systems (CMS) and / or Web Content Management Systems (WCMS).
Responsibilities • Meet with business and system owners to understand desired system requirements. • Lead the architecture and Development a broad based enterprise wide Web content management framework for use in multiple content portals • Work with system owners and technical teams to implement, test, and deliver the application • Estimate and plan releases for the application • Review application design and code, provide tools and components for use by the wider team, and provide support for other team developers. • Mentor junior team members |

• Comfortable with a heterogeneous development environment including C#.Net and Java • Strong experience with Content Management Systems and Collaboration platform including SharePoint Server 2007-MOSS • Solid understanding of all parts of Software Engineering (e.g. Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) • Ability to recommend platform selection and application integration options • Sound knowledge of HTML, Javascript, Web 2.0, XML, XPath, XSLT and threading • Working experience with databases – SQL Server 2000 and Sybase 11+ • Proficient in object-oriented programming. • Proven leadership skills to independently manage a track of work with 3 - 5 people, during various phases of the project lifecycle. • Ability to work very closely with clients to rapidly develop prototypes with a view to gathering requirements quickly. • Able to help developers with their application development and also have the knowledge to troubleshoot application problems. |
