Category Manager
Corporate Procurement is responsible for supporting the indirect procurement process across the whole of Europe and India for the various business areas and product groups of Apple. The Corporate Procurement team needs an above average Purchasing Professional who can deliver improved value and contract closure, across a wide range of Marketing, Events and PR goods and services in a complex, ever changing and fast moving environment across EMEIA.

• Develop and implement proactive supplier-sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on time delivery and cost competitiveness. Ie Gets results through action oriented thinking. Consistently demonstrating responsibility and accountability in all aspects of his/her role.
• Work with business teams, while enhancing strong internal relationships, to develop and utilize RFI (Request for Information), RFP (Request for Proposal), RFQ (Request for Quote) and e-auctions techniques to identify, select, negotiate and engage with suppliers to ensure competitive market advantage.
• Construct, organise and project manage, cross-functional teams, in order to meet business requirements yet capture Statements of Work, agreed terms and conditions and negotiated pricing into robust contracts. Open to others' ideas and shares information appropriately, Reliable & accountable, Contributes to team success.
• Understand how to drive commercial innovation into the negotiations and subsequent contracts along with a robust track record in drafting the supplier performance management in contracts to ensure the commercial innovation is sustainable, scaleable, contractual and delivers real value. Takes initiative to go above and beyond requirements
• Initiate Supplier Performance Reviews with the internal business group to measure and document performance levels, identify development areas, perform root cause analysis and establish corrective action plans for improved performance and delivery.

Other Certification (CIPS qualified.)

The ideal candidate will have experience in the areas mentioned above be degree and CIPS qualified. Learns and applies new skills in innovative ways to meet current and future business needs. Knowledgeable in current and future trends, in Marketing and Events including the current commercial models in the industries to allow an immediate impact in the role.

The candidate should have an excellent understanding of vendors, marketplaces and commercial models for goods and services in Marketing, Events and PR. The candidate should have demonstrable ability and experience in the drafting, negotiation, closing and signing of contracts. The ideal candidate will understand Strategic Sourcing, and has experience in its use within the selection and prequalification of suppliers. They should also understand other corporate roles and functions such as Legal, Finance, Risk Management and Business Groups, the interaction into Marketing, Events and PR contracts, and the role they play in the supplier selection process and price negotiations.
