Position Overview
The Real Estate UK Head will partner with asset managers, banks, and additional service providers such as brokers to continue to position CarVal as a preferred investor. This role will provide strategy and demonstrate leadership in all aspects of the investment from originating deals, negotiating terms, underwriting, and monitoring progress. The Real Estate UK Head will be a member and participate in the European Real Estate Investment Committee.
Principal Accountabilities
Each Real Estate UK Head will be in charge of managing the country team, including recommendations for hiring, dismissing, compensation, workload and priorities;
maintaining strong relationships with asset managers, banks and other service providers including brokers so that CarVal becomes/remains a "favoured" investor;
originating and negotiate terms of new asset management relationships;
originating deals through network;
choosing which type of deals the team should focus on, applying strategy established with Europe RE Lead and Senior Management;
providing the broad lines to acquisition team of how deals should be underwritten;
review, support and participate in writing investment memos;
participating in the European Real Estate Investment Committee;
working with team and asset managers to adjust strategies in relation to market changes;
approving NAVs following discussions with Acquisition/Research Manager and discuss output with Europe RE Lead and Senior Partner before logging in system
monitoring closely asset management progress and intervene when deal goes off track or conflict brewing with asset manager;
bringing and presenting issues to be dealt with to Europe RE Lead and Senior Management in a timely and organized manner; and
the information provided on the Management Pages at the country level. |
