C#/ Java developer for Derivatives Confirmation Exception Management UI
We have an open position in a UI development team within a large and expanding middle office development team. The team as a whole manages cross-asset derivatives confirmations from generation to dispatch. It receives trades from upstream systems, routes them to the correct process for handling and then dispatches the confirmations to external parties or exchanges.
The UI team develops and maintains a C# UI with a Java backend. The UI sits on users desktops and allows them to manage their confirmation tasks and exceptions. The role provides an opportunity to work on both the C# Winforms front end and the Java backend webservices and dababase integration. The UI uses CAB and will start using WPF in upcoming projects. The UI team and the wider team includes many senior technical experts and provides an excellent opportunity to improve your skills. The nature of the projects we work on, often involves working closely with the business users to gather requirements and working with the wider team to implement a front to back solution.
One of our upcoming projects is the migration of the inbound confirmation and risk mitigation processes for commodities and interest rates into the system from legacy systems. This is a high-profile greenfields project which would allow the candidate to be invovlved in every aspect of the project from requirements and design, to implementation, testing and delivery.
