This role is for an experienced C# developer to work within the European Trading area of Equities IT. The Equities Trading team develops and maintains market leading in-house applications for manual & automated trading. The application is the front end to the Equity Trading platform in UBS. The development team is an integral part of a high energy front-office environment.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a small, dynamic and passionate team with a strong commitment to excellence. They will be able to see how their work directly impacts the success of Equity Trading within UBS. |

The successful candidate will have: • Excellent core C#/.Net. • A dedication to software quality, the ability to inspire best practice and drive innovation. • Commercial experience in Winforms or WPF/Silverlight development & GUI usability. • Experience of working in a team with short release cycles, with experience in capturing requirements directly from key business users and following those through to delivery. • Excellent team working skills with the ability to communicate effectively, review code and a commitment to continually improve development processes. • Experience of 2nd Line support role, methodical and quick when problem solving.
The following skills would be desirable, though not essential : • Experience of integration between Java and C#. • Experience of high performance, memory efficient development. • Real time data systems experience. • Practical experience and understanding of Equities Trading IT. • Java development experience. |
