Business Works Developer
In an international environment the department CAR (Cash & Research) is dedicated to the business line functions and systems of the Société Générale Corporate Investment Banking division, this division has two main activities:
• Research: Facilitates Analysts & Economists to publish financial analysis to their clients
• Execution: Offers high added value services to access Global Equity trading markets
It’s dedicated IT department ITEC/CTT/COM provide a service of integration, parameter setup and support of the fidessa Trading Platform software and bespoke application development (e.g. systems such as Gates, RDS, and Automates for trading).

In the important growing context of the business, various projects have been or will shortly be started in relation to our Fidessa Trading platform and each one of these projects is having or will have a strong impact on the corresponding external system interfaces (Middle and Back Office systems).

In relation to these Projects ITEC/CTT/COM in London require an experienced Business Works Developer able to:
• Analyse the specs provided by the Fidessa BAs
• Make necessary development to fulfil those requirements (technology Tibco Business Works, Java, JDBC)
• Perform unit testing (functional testing are performed by a dedicated team in the same department)
• Use efficiently the software development environment tools (Eclipse, ClearCase)
• Build and deliver the correct interface package to be deployed by the interface support team
• Understand and help to resolve any Interface and/or TIBCO BW related problems (second line production support)

Main responsibilities
• The following all relate to the Globally installed BW interface between SG Fidessa products and various up or downstream applications
• Develop software and configuration based on the technical specifications produced by the SG team
• 2nd Line Support where required for problems in any of the environments
• Assist in the analysis of problem and new requirements
• Assisting in architectural decisions where requested
• No responsibility for staff
• Assist in the setting up and maintenance of the various testing environments
• Apply software changes in line with our change control procedure to the various environments as required
• Support the test analysts in achieving their testing goals

• Working under the supervision of the Cash Equities Interface Development Manager
Internal & external contacts
• Contacts will be restricted to other SG and Fidessa personnel in various locations, main groups will be GLS and Fidessa Development Teams
• Peer to Peer basis with various teams as above

• French would be a significant advantage
