Business Development Manager
· Research and prepare reports on specific markets or segments PayPal would like to investigate
· Identify new business and revenue opportunities with innovative applications generating more transactions, new applications or new accounts in selected markets
· Structure Product Offering and BD approach with targeted partners
· Lead relationship with identified partners to build new profitable and efficient use cases for PayPal
· Coordinate with the Manager, Business Development and EU Platform leaders key quarterly channel business priorities and execution plans
· Identify and analyze issues, patterns and trends in partner performance
· Proactively escalate issues, observations, opportunities, and insights to EU Platform leadership team
· Attract, maintain and support key PayPal UK channel business partnerships
· Manage key Channel Partners to ensure that each Partner successfully promotes, markets to and enrolls PayPal merchants
· Liaise with PayPal Marketing and PR teams to ensure that effective revenue generating Channel Partner promotions are undertaken
· Liaise with the PayPal Product and Platform teams to ensure that any Channel Partner PayPal product requests are reviewed and assessed
· Create and/or review channel sales reports and forecasts, and ongoing channel partner merchant sales status reports
· Forge relationships with, and drive execution through distribution partners for optimal customer acquisition, speed-to-market, ease of integration and service levels
· Prioritizing, organizing and driving channel partners for maximum revenue impact
· Coordinate with, and provide market and channel partner feedback to internal counterparts in the platform, marketing, product, and technical integration
· Liaise with the internal PayPal telesales team to ensure efficient merchant sales efforts for Referral Partners
Qualifications: Bachelors
Experience: 7 years +

· Prior success in business development and channel sales
· Past proven ability to work with channel partners in complex customer environments – those with multiple decision makers at many levels is essential
· Good understanding of the UK online commerce and payments environment
· Strong interpersonal & communication skills - the ability to think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate efficiently internally and externally
· Interest in continually developing personal and professional skills
· Passionate about the internet and the e-commerce; internet experience is a +
· Understands PayPal’s value proposition + good technical knowledge
· Ability to work & lead cross-functionally: product management, legal, risk teams, support & operations…
· Ability to understand customer’s long term needs and business issues for PayPal, merchants and consumers.
· Ability to manage stressful situations whilst juggling with multiple challenges: creative & problem solver
· Strong negotiating & modeling skills. Entrepreneurial spirit
