The role involves undertaking development of local areas, progressing loan applications from initial enquiry to payout. Submission of cases holds a first stage sign off responsibility, second stage being held at Head Office.
Main duties
• To develop direct and indirect sources of business and obtain local applications for commercial mortgages
• To progress applications from receipt of initial papers, through interview, valuation and financial analysis to submission for approval
• To produce accurate offer letters for sign off to include all appropriate loan conditions
• To manage the application through the legal process to payout
• To maintain and manage a Portfolio of both new and existing Customer Relationship ensuring customer receives a good quality service, maintain risk monitoring and maximise cross sales from bank accounts, Elavon and Insurance.
• Generate a level of Liability from new, existing and directs clients in the form of bank accounts and Saving Schemes.
• To maintain up to date knowledge of market forces/legislation etc relating to specialist properties/businesses
Location: Surrey Quays
Significant travelling will be required
This role will be covering the Surrey and Suffolk area.
Salary Range: £48,200 - £72,300 |

• Comprehensive experience of underwriting commercial mortgages
• Detailed knowledge of the commercial property market, valuation requirements, legal processes, financial analysis and trends
• General banking experience is desirable
• Banking/Financial Services qualifications are preferable (ACIB or equivalent)
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of negotiating at a senior level
• Self-motivation |
