Business Analytics and Optimisation Cognos Planning Specialist

Bringing together sophisticated analytics from IBM Research with market-leading software platforms, deep industry insight and business consulting expertise, IBM’s Business Analytics and Optimization (BAO) service line helps clients gain greater precision and predictability out of every business decision they make. With the help of IBM’s BAO practice, clients now can understand the consequences of any business decision allowing them to operate at a new level of intelligence, far beyond sense and respond.

We are currently seeking experienced Cognos Planning and TM1 specialists to help grow the IBM Business Analytics & Optimization (BAO) Business Intelligence/Business Performance Management practice.

Bachelor's Degree
Lead Cognos Planning / TM1 engagements as project manager/subject matter expert / solution architect : Mastered
Use process modelling knowledge to design and create complex models in Cognos Planning / TM1 : Mastered
Be able to translate business requirements into a robust technical design : Mastered
Experience of delivering projects using a Joint Application Development (JAD) approach. : Mastered
Specific experience in working with the business to develop prototypes and proof of concepts using Cognos tools : Mastered
Must have eligibility to work in the UK : Mastered
English: Fluent

-Strong analytic, problem solving and consulting skills
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Comfortable interacting with clients & stakeholders at different levels including potentially senior and executive management across our client accounts.
-Experience of Cognos Planning / TM1 development experience and/or 3 or more full system development life cycle of the Cognos Planning / TM1 toolset
-Strong understanding of foundational concepts related to data warehousing and business intelligence concepts

“Nice To Have” Background

-Previous experience in a consulting environment delivering Cognos Planning / TM1 solutions
-Cognos Planning / TM1 Certification would be considered a strong asset
-Knowledge of how Cognos Planning data can be leveraged as part of a broader Business Performance Management/Business
