Business Analyst - Branded Generics, Commercial
The work done by the BGx Commercial team includes supporting and advising our markets as they select and refine their specific BGx product portfolio, together with Operations, Regulatory and Medical agreeing with vendors on product quality standards, cost and most effective market access strategies, as well as defining a fit for purpose and lean marketing and sales model for BGx. This is a permanent role, reporting to the Associate Director, Branded Generics.

The role will provide high quality business and financial analysis to drive effective decision making in supporting the build and growth of the Branded Generics franchise. The role will play a critical part in defining, implementing and managing performance metrics and processes to renew product portfolio and assess performance across ~30 marketing companies.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Manage the portfolio planning process through ongoing development of accurate product portfolio analysis across ~30 MCs and ~3 vendors
Cross functional collaboration with Operations, Regulatory, IP, Patient Safety and markets to ensure clear and timely information sharing and decision making
Support definition & implementation of performance reporting metrics & processes
Support IBR/RBU process for BGx, ensuring alignment with Commercial Finance (GCO) and Regions
Support MC commercial and finance teams in measuring performance and building sales and cost budgets, challenge appropriately
Provide ad hoc analysis and presentational material for BGx Commercial team – sales/marketing/finance
Support pricing process and manage database to deliver pricing decisions across all ~30 MCs
Qualifications: Bachelors (Finance, Business, Economics or Engineering)
Experience: 5 years +
Languages: English : Speak / Write Fluently

Good understanding and/or experience of the pharmaceutical business model / value chain
“Top percentile” analytical skills
Ability to articulate clear recommendations and drive decision-making
Track record of working under pressure in a fast-moving environment and evolving priorities
Excellent communication and influence skills needed to succeed in a complex cross-functional (matrix organization)
Financial modelling / banking / Commercial finance experience
Experience of working in a multi cultural environment
Understanding of AZ financial systems and budgeting processes
Leadership capabilities target level 2
