The Head of our Power Services team will establish and develop research services for the power sector in Europe and North America, including regular analyses of power market fundamentals and dynamics supported by unique data and models.
Bloomberg New Energy Finance is seeking an individual to set up and drive our work on the global power market. Specifically, we are looking for someone with a background in or knowledge of the power industry and the power markets, and experience in growing a business in professional services.
The Head of our Power Services team will establish and develop research services for the power sector in Europe and North America, including regular analyses of power market fundamentals and dynamics supported by unique data and models. The services will be upported by long and medium term models which will be built and developed by the team.
In addition to developing the product, the successful candidate would be required to lead the commercialisation of the product in collaboration with existing sales team. |

- Strong knowledge of the power industry and markets with recognition as an industry expert. This experience could be in Europe or North America.
- High level experience in a professional services firm, eg consulting, IT and financial markets, with proof of building and leading a successful business practice.
- Ability to work across many disciplines, including strategic analysis, industry economics, data systems and software.
- Innovative and creative, with proven ability to convert ideas into valuable services.
- Articulate (both verbally and in writing) and able to communicate complex issues to non-technical audiences in both written and verbal form.
- Thought-leader and self-starter, with a high work-rate and ability to work on parallel tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent manager of people. Demonstrable ability of recruiting, developing and retaining a talented team.
