Job Overview The successful candidate will be working within the Prime Services Product Control team. Specifically this role will incorporate a combination of assisting with delivery of the daily P&L to the Front Office together with developing the teams capability to provide a value added service to the business to include funding/liquidity MIS & balance sheet.
Primary responsibilities will involve the following: • Ensure the implementation of key controls across the Prime business including P&L analysis & commentary, P&L signoff, structured deal signoffs, month end processes • To assist with the analysis and delivery of a number of key projects across the Prime Services Product Control team, specifically the enhancement of P&L processes and controls • Respond and deliver against ad-hoc requests from the business • Produce unsecured funding analysis and commentary around movements in unsecured funding at a business level • To understand the business requirement to provide liquidity and securitised asset reporting to both the internal Treasury desk and the FSA |

• Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA • Good understanding of the Product Control function of an Investment Bank • Confidence in dealing with senior management / Front Office • An understanding of balance sheet implications of the business • Self starting and ability to deliver quality work without supervision • Builds and maintains relationships with finance & support area colleagues • Thorough understanding of Front to Back processes
Knowledge Required (Essential): • Prime Services products • Exposure to Equities and/or general Securities Financing businesses, mainly Stock Borrow/Loan. Detailed understanding of the underlying bookings, fee/rebate and billing processes • Understanding of the key drivers of the business across the markets and its role in liquidity management/funding/treasury areas within an investment bank • Appreciation of Option greeks • Strong MS Excel & MS Access skills Knowledge Required (Desirable): • Possess understanding of recent changes in FSA Liquidity Management requirements and reporting and implications for Finance • An overall appreciation of industry wide securities financing issues in current markets • Understanding of the interaction with internal trading desks and derivative strategies • Exposure to Escrow fee accounting |
