Summary
• As a debt capital markets analyst or associate you will work directly with the Managing Directors and their originating teams covering SG’s Northern Europe client base.
• The candidate will be required to ensure that each originator is fully supported and provided with the necessary information they need in order to advise their clients.
•They will thus need to provide support on the analytical side, presentations and marketing as well as be extremely organised. Within the London team originators focus on corporate clients and financial institutions from the following regions: the UK and Ireland, the Netherlands, the Nordic countries and Greece.

Main responsibilities
• Support DCM originators in developing client presentations, proposals and updates.
• Assist in the execution of DCM mandates, co-ordinating internal and external resources and
contacts.
• Conduct analysis on new issues and credit analysis on target clients.
• Prepare frequent written market updates and client marketing documents.
• Work with other business lines, the coverage unit and investment banking to create internal and
external marketing presentations.
• Complete transversal tasks.

• Although experience in the Debt Capital Markets, specifically Origination, would be helpful, a Fixed
Income, ECM or other similar background/ business line could be considered.
• Strong financial background and knowledge of the international bond market.
• Able to develop an understanding of derivatives and structured products.
• Fluent English – market report documents, presentations and updates are all written in English.
• European languages – Beneficial.
• First class marketing skills – the ability to synthesise complex market arguments is crucial.
• Excellent analytical skills – significant data research and credit analysis.
• Good quantitative skills – comfortable with all aspects of financial maths.
• Financial skills – able to interpret a balance sheet.
• Organisational skills – Multiple tasks with multiple deadlines in short spaces of time.
• The position requires a self-confident person who is a self-starter; highly motivated and reliable,
with strong team spirit, well organized with good attention to detail.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to cope with multiple tasks from many different people.
• Ability to complete accurate work under significant pressure.
• Awareness of and experience in working with people with international backgrounds, prioritising
tasks and managing competing deadlines.
• Good interpersonal skills.
