Analyst, M&A Strategy & Execution
The Corporate Development function within Corporate Center is responsible for driving the development of the overall strategy, running strategic and profit-enhancement projects, coordinating global efficiency programs, and managing mergers and acquisitions topics on behalf of the UBS Group.

Within Corporate Development, the Group Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) department is responsible for managing, executing and advising on acquisitions, divestments, joint-ventures and other corporate finance activities on behalf of the UBS Group and its Business Divisions.

The main duties of the position will be as follows:

As a team member within this department, in either Zurich or London, your main tasks and responsibilities will be as follows:
• Assisting in the identification and evaluation of potential acquisition targets;
• Contributing as an integral team member on transaction execution by taking on small-scale project management and work stream responsibilities, developing and maintaining complex financial models, preparing presentations to senior management, and assisting in the preparation and conduct of due diligence exercises;
• Assisting in the advisory of senior management and the Board of Directors on a wide-range of corporate finance issues; and,
• Collaborating with other Corporate Development departments on assignments covering a broad range of conceptual and practical issues concerning Group and Business Division strategy.

• Degree from a leading university;
• Significant years work experience/internships, preferably in the field of financial services;
• Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry;
• Very strong analytical skills and problem solving capabilities;
• Very good research skills;
• Experience in financial modelling and corporate valuation. Accounting qualifications an asset;
• Very strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills;
• Proactive, independent team player with a flexible personality and operational skills who can cope with adversity and pressure, capable of succeeding in an extremely demanding environment; and,
• Language proficiency in English. Other languages an asset.
