Senior Market Risk Manager - Emerging Markets EMEA
This position is in the Global Rates, FX and EMG team within the Market Risk Group of IB Strategic Risk Management (“SRM”). The candidate will have responsibility for leading the EMEA Emerging Markets team.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintaining constant awareness of market dynamics, strategies being traded and their potential risks
• Ensuring all current and potential P&L drivers are fully understood
• Developing and maintaining close relationships with trading desks, structuring, senior business management and primary control functions (Product Control, Credit Risk Management, Middle Office), acting as the key point of contact for EMEA EMG market risk issues in the firm.
• Responsibility for review and SRM sign-off of all new large and/or exotic transactions
• Reviewing risks and reports processed by dedicated risk reporting team based in Singapore to ensure correct risk capture and explain
• Carrying out deep-dive reviews into portfolios to ensure that i) complex risks are captured correctly and are transparent and ii) sufficient controls are in place that are aligned with firm risk appetite
• Challenge existing risk / valuation methodologies and control frameworks providing proposals for improvement
Qualifications: Masters (Graduate in quantitative discipline)
Experience: 10 years +
Languages: English : Speak / Write Fluently

• Graduate in quantitative discipline (ideally with a post graduate and/or professional qualification)
• Considerable experience (ideally in Emerging Markets) in market risk management or suitable front office role (e.g. trading, structuring, quant)
• In depth derivatives product knowledge is essential (ideally Credit and Rates)
• Self starter with ability to work independently and take management responsibility for training and development of junior team members
• Advanced excel skills with some VBA programming ability
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
